The hope of the gospel is that all things that have been broken by the fall will be restored to their full God-honoring majesty. Though art has suffered a tragic loss of sacred beauty both today and throughout history, the power of the gospel takes all that is ugly, shallow, and fleeting and creates that which is beautiful, deep, and eternal. Phillip Graham Ryken wrote, “At its best art is able to satisfy our deep longing for beauty and communicate profound spiritual, intellectual, and emotional truth about the world that God has made for his glory.” Our work then is to display the beauty of the gospel through a variety of means which begin to reveal the wonder of Eden.
